The GLE Coupé is the sloping-roof version of the GLE SUV. The facelifted C167 model went on sale in South Africa in October 2023 alongside the updated SUV, and it comes with the AMG Line exterior package as standard.

The Mercedes-Benz version is the GLE 450 d 4MATIC Coupé, which uses a six-cylinder turbodiesel with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance and 750 Nm of torque; the mild-hybrid system adds a brief overboost of 15 kW and 200 Nm. Petrol power comes from Mercedes-AMG in the form of the GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé, which uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six.

Both versions use a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The diesel produces 270 kW, while the AMG GLE 53 Coupé produces 320 kW and 560 Nm, with a claimed 0 to 100 km/h time of 5.0 seconds.
