About the club

An independent owners' club for every Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach driver in South Africa.

An independent owners' club. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mercedes-Benz.

What the club is

Mercedes-Benz Owners brings together people who own, lease or regularly drive a Mercedes-Benz, of any model or age, for road trips, owner meetups, networking and the occasional track experience. It is new: there are no members, events or local groups yet, and this website says so wherever it matters.

What the club is not

  • It is not Mercedes-Benz, and Mercedes-Benz has not approved this website. The club is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mercedes-Benz.
  • It is not the Mercedes-Benz Club of South Africa, which is a separate organisation with its own membership.
  • It is not a dealer and does not sell cars, parts, finance or insurance.

Who runs it

A founding organiser runs the club for now, with volunteers welcome in every province. The club is being set up as a voluntary association: a short written constitution, with decisions passing to an elected committee once there are members to elect one. Before any paid or track event, the club will take on a formal legal structure suited to it.

How it will work

  1. Owners register their interest and confirm their email.
  2. Volunteers come forward to help in their area, and the first casual meetups are arranged where enough owners are.
  3. Drives and other experiences are announced with their date, place, rules and any cost, and taking part is always your choice.

What it costs

Registering is free. If an event has a cost, for example a venue fee, it will be stated clearly before you decide.

How articles are written

A new article appears most weeks. Each is researched from public sources, checked against at least two of them before publishing, and lists its sources at the end. The club writes about Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG and Mercedes-Maybach as an independent observer. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact page; corrections are made promptly and noted on the article.
