Code of conduct
How members drive, behave and treat each other. It applies online and at every club activity.
An independent owners' club. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mercedes-Benz.
On the road
- Obey the rules of the road at all times. Club drives are not races, and nobody is expected to keep up.
- Keep a safe following distance in convoy, and let other road users through.
- Never drive after drinking alcohol or using anything that affects your driving.
- Your car must be roadworthy, licensed and insured. You are responsible for your own vehicle and driving.
At circuits and venues
- Follow the venue's rules, instructors and marshals. Track activities happen only at licensed venues under their own safety arrangements.
- Taking part in any driving activity is always your choice.
With each other
- Treat everyone with respect, whatever they drive, wherever they come from and whoever they are. Harassment, discrimination and intimidation are not tolerated.
- Ask before photographing people, and before sharing photos in which people can be identified.
- Keep other members' contact details private. Never add anyone to a group or mailing list without their agreement.
- Don't use club activities to sell to members without the organiser's agreement.
Raising a concern
If something makes you uncomfortable or unsafe, tell the organiser through the contact page. Concerns are handled discreetly. In an emergency, call 112 from a mobile phone or 10111 for the police.
If the code is broken
The organiser may ask someone to leave an activity, and may end a registration or membership for serious or repeated breaches, after giving the person a fair chance to respond.
