The GLC Coupé is the sloping-roof sibling of the GLC SUV. The second-generation model, coded C254, went on sale in South Africa in November 2023 with two diesel engines and a choice of Avantgarde or AMG Line trim.
Both diesels are 2.0-litre four-cylinders with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance, paired with a nine-speed automatic and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The cabin uses a 12.3-inch driver display and an 11.9-inch central touchscreen.
In October 2024 two Mercedes-AMG versions joined the local range. The GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé uses a 2.0-litre turbo petrol with an electric turbocharger and mild-hybrid assistance, while the plug-in GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupé adds a rear-mounted electric motor and a 6.1 kWh battery good for up to 12 km of electric-only driving. Both have AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and rear-axle steering.
