The CLE Coupé took over from both the C-Class Coupé and the E-Class Coupé, combining them into a single two-door model that measures 4,850 mm long. It reached South African dealers in mid-2024.
Both Mercedes-Benz versions use a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance that adds 17 kW for short bursts, together with a nine-speed automatic. The CLE 200 drives the rear wheels, while the CLE 300 4MATIC has all-wheel drive.
Mercedes-Benz claims 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds for the CLE 200 and 6.2 seconds for the CLE 300 4MATIC, with top speeds of 240 km/h and 250 km/h. Above them sits the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé, which produces 330 kW and 560 Nm and also has all-wheel drive.
